who's nat?

Nathalie-309_edited.jpg

Hello visitor and welcome to my website! My name is Nat and it's a pleasure to share my creative space with you. My website is here to showcase my artistry in all avenues that I'm involved in. Music. Events. Design. Whether it’s taking a piece of fabric and turning it into a garment or using different genres of music to create a unique experience for people, being able to ‘create’ is my passion. It's what gives me the greatest sense of purpose and fulfilment.

Nat the Label is a little brand that I created to showcase all of my handcrafted sewing pieces. My journey into sewing began back in 2016. I was fed up with paying so much in duties for all of the bohemian style dresses I was buying from Australia. There was nowhere within Canada where you could find such pieces, so I figured why not try making them myself!? After watching countless YouTube videos on how to sew, I bought my first sewing machine and got to work. Shortly after, I created my own little bohemian clothing brand and have enjoyed the journey of where it's currently lead me to. Being able to make or alter something gives me great joy. I'm constantly getting inspired by fashion and the fabrics that I find on my travels. I'm always looking forward to working on something new (when I can find the time), so keep your eyes peeled for some new pieces coming soon!

Along with being creative, I'm also very passionate about giving back. Human welfare is very important to me, along with taking care of our planet. Each year I do my best to speak up and spread awareness on different topics that need attention, even though I feel so uncomfortable doing it each time. Please visit my giving back page for more information and if you'd like to be a part of this movement.

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again."
